January sees the start of the sports hall athletics season with young people in year 7 and 8 across the partnership competing for a place in the county finals in March at the University of Birmingham.

This year's girls event was hosted at Broadway Academy - many thanks to the school and their leaders for officiating the events! 

All the girls showed determination and resilience in all the events and did their schools proud. After very close event, the final placings were:

Year 7

1st - Aston Manor Academy

2nd - Broadway + Heartlands

3rd - Prince Albert

Year 8

1st - Aston Manor Academy

2nd - Broadway

3rd - Jewellery Quarter

4th - Prince Albert

5th - Heartlands
